When is it right to ask God to intercede?

1. When God’s Name is at stake. 20:1. Psalm 35:22-25
2. When you are walking with integrity. 20:3;
a. (1 Chronicles 29:17, NIV) "I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity. All these things have I given willingly and with honest intent. And now I have seen with joy how willingly your people who are here have given to you."
b. (Psalm 84:11, NIV) "For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless."
c. (Psalm 20:4, NIV) "May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed."
3. When your motives are pure. 20:4
a. (Psalm 37:4, NIV) "Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart."
b. (1 John 5:14-15, NIV) "This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if
we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him."

4. When God is glorified. 20:7

David later forgot this!

Numbered the people. 1 Chron 21:1 “satan rose up against Israel and incited

David to take a census of Israel.”

When is it right to ask God to intercede?

Is it right to pray to win the lottery?
Is it right to pray for deliverance from the circumstances of your sin?

Stupid SHOULD be painful!

Is it right to pray that you won’t get caught speeding?
This prayer for VICTORY is based on the fulfillment of GOD’S for His children!
Scrogie, 132: March 9, 1839. Midlothian, Scottland. CAVE IN at a coal mine. Thirteen men were trapped. Every effort failed to reach them. They found refuge in a narrow seam, only 3 ½
feet high. They prepared for death. They prayed, singing the first 4 verses of Psalm 20. Their hearts quieted as they thought about heaven, and the loved ones they would leave behind. After their hearts were still, they were miraculously rescued.
